Windows 64-bit Version Available
You can now use Portfolio Probe in Windows 64-bit.
It is easy to make the switch if you are using R. Just use a 64-bit version of R (which means R versions 2.12.x or 2.13.x) and everything is the same as usual. R objects created in 32-bit work in 64-bit and vice versa.
There are at least two reasons to use the 64-bit version of Portfolio Probe:
-
64-bit is what you do (or want to) use
-
you generate large numbers of random portfolios
If you generate a lot of random portfolios and/or they are quite large, then you may run out of memory under 32-bits. The 64-bit version allows you to use more RAM.
Special Offer
For a limited time you can get the 64-bit version of Portfolio Probe half-price if you already have a 32-bit licence. The offer expires at the end of July -- this gives you time to get a demo copy and play with it.
Details are on the Portfolio Probe website.
